Starting a charge
Find the charger in the SP app, scan its QR code, and the session starts. You get a push alert when it finishes.

  • Billed to the payment method registered for charging in the SP app
  • Corporate fleet drivers may need to add a credit card in the SP app

If you leave the car plugged in after it finishes

$0.50 per minute · free for 30 minutes after the session ends · capped at $40 per session

All HDB car parks and all petrol stations, plus selected other sites marked in the SP app — check the charger there before you start.

Charged 10:00am to 10:00pm daily from 5 September 2026 (previously 9:00am to 11:00pm), and around the clock at petrol stations.

In force since 1 July 2024.

  • Charging is billed per kWh: energy used multiplied by the rate that applies at that charger.
  • Subscription plans exist and can include a kWh quota over a period; SP publishes no rate card for them, so ask on 6916 7799.
  • Turn on SP app push notifications — they are what warn you the idle-fee grace period is running.
