If you leave the car plugged in after it finishes

$0.50 per minute, rounded up to the next minute · free for 15 minutes at Shell stations, 30 minutes at other chargers · capped at $40 per session

All Shell Recharge chargers except those in HDB car parks and condominiums. It applies whether or not other bays are free.

In force since 1 September 2025.

  • Check 'Price Details' in the app before starting — it states whether that charger carries an idle fee.
  • Idle fees never accrue while the car is actually drawing power; the clock starts when the session ends.
  • Enable app notifications, or watch the email Shell sends when a session completes, to catch the grace period.
